Coastal waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL out 20 NM... Waters from Altamaha Sound GA to Fernandina Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Fernandina Beach to St. Augustine FL from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 100 AM EDT. * At 1157 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 nm north of Amelia City to near Talbot Island to near Palm Valley, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Atlantic Beach, High Point, Nassau Sound Approach Buoy 6a, Buoy F, Amelia City, Buoy Cdh, Jekyll Island, St Simons Island Village, Jacksonville Beach, St. Simons Island, Talbot Island, Saint Andrews Sound, Buoy Kby, Saint Johns Lighted Buoy, Dungeness, Saint Marys Entrance Buoy 16, St Simons Sound Buoy 9, Cumberland Island, Whittakers Snapper Hole Reef, and Palm Valley.

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. If your vessel is caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather. Ensure all crew members are wearing USCG approved Type I life jackets and nonessential crew are below decks. Deploy jack lines and harnesses if available. Check life saving equipment, including batteries on handheld radios, for readiness. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor immediately. If your vessel is caught offshore, immediately secure for heavy weather.
