SMWILM The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Waters from Surf City NC to Little River Inlet SC from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Little River Inlet SC to South Santee River SC from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 1130 AM EDT. * At 1036 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 11 NM east of Sunset Mid Shelf Buoy, moving north at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Sunset Mid Shelf Buoy and Gary Ennis Reef.
