FFWTAE The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Southwestern Holmes County in the panhandle of Florida... Walton County in the panhandle of Florida... * Until 1130 PM CDT. * At 836 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... De Funiak Springs, Union, Liberty, Paxton, Ponce De Leon, Westville, Sand Hill, Cluster Springs, Glendale, Piney Grove, Caney Creek, Center Ridge, Pleasant Hill, New Harmony, Gaskin, Gordon, Fox Hill, Oakwood Hills, Darlington and Leonia. Rainbands close to the center of Isaias will continue producing very heavy rainfall capable of worsening the flash flooding.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
