* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southwestern Somerset County in northern New Jersey... East Central Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey... * WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 640 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The Neshanic Creek at Reaville went into action stage and could go into flood stage. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.7 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Flemington and Cloverhill. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
