* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Central Burke County in western North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 247 PM EDT, Flooding along the Johns and Catawba Rivers continued. The Johns river gage at Corpening Bridge road remaining above flood stage but was falling. Floodwaters affecting parts of Johns River and/or Corpening Bridge Roads will slowly subside. Out of bank conditions along the Catawba River will linger into this evening with flooding of low-lying areas between Morganton and Lake Rhodhiss Dam. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
